IMPROVING AUTOMATIC BIN LIFT SAFETY
The RCV Smart Loader system uses proximity warning technology to make automatic bin lifts safer - without compromising operational efficiency.
The system creates a zone around the bin(s) in the bin lift at the rear of the RCV, which detects the presence of workers. If a collection worker is present in the zone then the system stops the bin lift from operating, eliminating the chance of workers accidentally injuring themselves as part of the automatic bin lift process.
When workers aren't detected in the zone then the bin lift resumes normal operation.
