A camera-based proximity warning system, such as Vision360, utilizes multiple AI-integrated cameras to detect people that are coming too close to a vehicle.

There is a display screen placed in the vehicle cab so that the operator can see a live feed from the cameras.

When a person is detected by a camera, the system draws a colored box around them on the in-cab display. This changes in color depending on their proximity to the vehicle, with green indicating to the vehicle operator that they’re a safe distance away and red indicating more imminent danger.

Camera-based systems can also provide audible alerts to the operator when someone is detected nearby.

There is an increasing amount of data and insights that can be provided by camera proximity warning systems. Cloud-connected systems like Vision360 enable users to download video clips on demand and view real-time footage of the camera feeds.
