Proximity Warning Core
RFID tags and vehicle-mounted antennas detect workers in a full 360-degree field around heavy machinery.
Explore Proximity Warning Core →Stop incidents between people and plant on construction sites, with tag-based and AI camera detection for excavators, dumpers, rollers and haul roads.

Construction is one of the most hazardous industries for collisions between vehicles and pedestrians, with more than 15,000 workers injured in the United States across 2023 and 2024.
Different sites and projects have different requirements. That is why SensorZone offers a range of systems, from tag-based proximity warning to AI camera detection, all connected to one data platform so you can choose the right fit for each machine and each project.

Adds AI camera detection to tag-based detection, giving two layers of protection for tagged workers and untagged visitors alike.
Explore Proximity Warning Plus →Retrofit any construction machine without taking it out of service for a full day.
No GPS or cellular dependency, so the system works underground, in tunnels and in other GPS-denied environments.
IP67-rated tag hardware and IP69-rated cameras, built to withstand dust, rain, impact and vibration on active construction sites.
Start with the system that suits your current requirements, then add further detection layers as your needs grow.
Supports compliance with OSHA workplace safety guidelines and UK HSE construction safety guidance.
Surface patterns, predict risk areas and receive clear recommendations for action.
Every proximity event on site is logged to the SensorZone Insights Platform, which turns raw detection data into intelligence that helps you prevent incidents before they happen.

See exactly where near misses concentrate across your site, then redesign traffic routes, reposition barriers and enforce exclusion zones where risk is highest.

Spot anomalies and high-risk outliers, such as repeat offenders or operators who consistently do not acknowledge alerts, so you can step in early.

Track how worker and operator behaviour changes over time, and measure whether coaching, toolbox talks and site changes are reducing near misses.

The Insights Platform AI reviews your site data in the background and summarises what is going well, what needs attention and what to do next.

From excavator blind spots to congested haul roads, construction sites present hazards that standard measures cannot fully control.
The low-visibility zone around an excavator extends several metres in every direction, and site noise masks approaching workers. Proximity Warning Core detects tagged workers in a full 360-degree field and alerts the operator even when the worker cannot be seen from the cab.
Reversing plant causes many serious incidents on construction sites every year. SensorZone provides active reversing protection through tags, cameras or both, alerting the operator and any worker in the reverse path.
Haul roads carry a constant flow of dumpers, mixers and delivery vehicles alongside people on foot. Vision360 cameras detect people and vehicles without the need for tags, adding a layer of protection where traffic is heaviest.
Where walkways cross vehicle routes, the risk of collision rises sharply. SensorZone detects tagged workers approaching active vehicle paths and alerts the operator and the worker at the same time.
No. All workers on site carry the same SensorZone RFID tag. Tags can be assigned and tracked centrally through the Insights Platform regardless of which contractor a worker belongs to, which keeps site-wide coordination simple when several contractors are working at once.
Proximity Warning Core can be permanently installed on owned plant, while SensorZone Flex can be fitted temporarily to hired equipment. Both use the same tags and feed the same Insights Platform, giving you one view across your entire fleet.
A proximity warning system places a detection zone around each machine on site. Workers on foot wear a small RFID tag that triggers an alert when they enter the zone. The operator and the worker are alerted at the same time, which shares responsibility for safety. Every event is also logged to a cloud dashboard, producing heat maps and trend data that help site managers find and fix high-risk areas.
Deploying a tag-based proximity warning system is one of the most effective controls. Unlike approaches that rely on operator awareness alone, it gives active alerts to both the operator and the worker on foot. Since SensorZone was first deployed on construction sites in the United States in 2021, there has been no recorded incident between workers and machines on a site using the system.
