Your site. Your Data. Our expert analysis.

What is the site safety and behaviour audit?

Worker safety on site is a key priority for all companies. However, we often do not realise there are risks until it is too late, either through a near-miss, an accident, or worse.

Measuring and acting on real data, from a real site, available in real time, can change the way you think about worksite safety. By measuring key leading indicators about site behaviour, it is possible to move beyond slow moving, retrospective analysis, to proactive detection of dangerous activities or practices and identify key training requirements.

We will deploy our systems on a representative subset of your plant equipment. Each system consists of a proximity detection system, which combined with tags issued to workers, detects when pedestrians come too close to a vehicle. Using this alongside J1939 data, we can track vehicle speeds and braking patterns on site to ensure the vehicles are being driven in line with site rules.

What will I learn?

WORKER BEHAVIOUR

How do you staff interact with moving vehicles? Do they stand too close? Do they linger near equipment?

VEHICLE OPERATION

Are site speed limits being obeyed? Are vehicles having to brake sharply? Are vehicles idling for long periods?

SITE DESIGN

Are there areas of your worksite where people are forced to be near moving vehicles? Are there pinch points?

don't just take our word for it...

GreenWaste

The GreenWaste MRF in San Jose is one of the largest in the United States, processing 2800 tonnes of recycled material each day.

Their SensorZone deployment currently covers nearly 100 machines and over 272 workers.

How can I get my safety score?

STEP ONE

Arrange your audit

Once you're ready to discover all about the behaviour and practices happening on your site, we'll work with you to find the best time period for the audit to take place.

So that we can accurately assess your site safety, we recommend a monitoring period of two weeks.

STEP TWO

Install equipment

We'll send an engineer out to install the necessary SensorZone equipment on your chosen machines.

Tags will be distributed to all workers, who'll need to wear them at all times on site.

STEP THREE

Site monitoring

Once installed, the system will operate in silence in the background, collecting data on site safety and worker behaviour for the two week monitoring period.

STEP FOUR

Get your results

At the end of the two week monitoring period, we'll provide you with an overall safety score and a report detailing the positive and negative factors that contributed to that score.

We'll also offer advice on how you can proactively manage and reduce any risks moving forwards.

Want to know more?

Is this a complete install of the SensorZone system?

No, this is not an install of the whole SensorZone system. We only need to install an antenna on each machine that forms part of the audit, and require workers to wear their SensorZone tags whilst on-site.

Is this is a free audit?

We only ask that you cover the cost of the equipment used for the audit. If you then go on to purchase the full SensorZone system then this initial cost will be deducted from the purchase price.

What is SensorZone?

SensorZone is a tag-based proximity warning system, proven to reduce collisions between people and heavy machinery.

The system places a configurable detection zone around a machine, which triggers an alarm if the zone is breached by a tag-wearing worker. Our unique triple alert system warns the driver, the worker and those in the surrounding area, ensuring shared responsibility for site safety and driving positive behavioural change.

Combined with our cloud-based Insights Platform, we can provide real time information on site safety, allowing the whole company to understand key safety leading indicators and identify areas of risk or potential improvement.
