Do proximity warning systems work in all weather conditions?

Blog post featured image
This depends on the type of proximity warning system being used.

A tag-based system would operate in all weather conditions without any issues because the technology used doesn’t need line of sight.

If a camera-based system is in use then there is the risk that the camera lens may be obscured, or adverse weather conditions may make it harder for the camera to detect people.

If you are working in a location whether that is prone to heavy snowfall or torrential rain, it is recommended that you choose a tag-based system. The RFID nature of the technology means that the tags will continue to be detected in all weather conditions.
